I don't see any evidence in the code for the described failsafe behavior. Generally, the production progress bars are unreliable and should not be used as a source of information on cycle times. If anything, preventing the update functions on factories from running at their desired interval should slow down the rate at which productions get started. Each time the bar ends the production gets delivered to the station as expected, for ore 120 each 30 seconds. It works. Something in the code is definetly flunky. This "feature" exists. Sometimes even near normal speeds.Thamalandis (talk) 15:22, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
To be precise this "feature" was standard from March to the last days. Which means if it is gone suddenly - and I saw instances of it vanishing - this "bug" was stealth patched. They never document those mini 1-2MB patches. So who knowa. How long do you play the game? From the edit history it seems to be a week. So if it got recently patched out you missed it. In that case it is at least worth to mention historically.Thamalandis (talk) 15:26, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
Quickly went through Heaven (my creative test galaxy) and even the infamous x13 distillery got quick 15 sec 2 channels now in production. The bug was fixed, but it did exist. Gosh I hate stealth patches, especially with no news cycles.Thamalandis (talk) 15:43, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
