5468 6520 4149, also known as the corrupted AI, is an end-game boss, designed to be a massive version of The AI. It is a very strong boss and may be the most powerful ship the player will find in the entire game. Its stats depend on your ship sizes, but you can easily expect 100mil shield and hull hp. 158m hull and 98m shield seem to be maximum, with the boss being made up of over 40mil avorion/ogonite in blocks. The boss is a corrupted version of The AI, and as such it behaves in the opposite way: It attacks all non-Xsotan and doesn't attack Xsotan.

Finding 5468 6520 4149

Killing the Xsotan Wormhole Guardian will yield an item, whose name has randomized hexidecimal digits, and a tooltip which translates to ascii from hex characters into "This seems to be a chip to track some AI-Controlled entity. Can be activated by the player." Using the item will give you coordinates marked with a red skull, which indicates the boss's spawn location, and all the player needs to do is simply jump to those coordinates and start the fight. The boss will attack regardless of Xsotan Artifacts the player has on.

Fight

As said above, it has incredible high stats, so prepare your best guns or a very durable ramming ship! Due to its high dps it's also quite dangerous to ships with low shield hp. While the corrupted AI's headline omicron is usually only around 36k, it works similarly to the original AI in that breaking it up can result in significantly higher damage output. The torpedoes are significantly dangerous to those unprepared, including a mix of EMP and various other torpedo types. Torpedoes seem to only spawn when hull blocks are broken, either by individual destruction or the result of a split or excess damage to neighboring blocks. While playing on a server, one of the most dangerous things about fighting the corrupted AI is that players fighting it are not able to jump out of the fight, as this action will crash the server they are playing on if attempted.

Fighting the corrupted AI is extremely difficult. The strategy needed is identical to fighting The AI, only magnified in difficulty due to the colossal size of this monster.

A good strategy would be to drop the corrupted AI's shield to 0 and destroy the large avorion shield generator blocks scattered throughout one by one without splitting it. When this is done, splits that occur either on purpose or by accident dont cause the newly detached segment to regain a full shield, leaving it vulnerable to direct attacks to its hull.

Xsotan Invasions can spawn while in battle with the corrupted AI, hindering strategic attacks. The Xsotan ships that spawn from the invasion are unrelated to the fight with the corrupted AI, and they will attack it as if it were a non-Xsotan ship.

Drops

This is an example of the scrap resources one can obtain from live salvaging during a successful fight with the corrupted AI: 42.3 million avorion and 6.5 million ogonite.

This is an example of the scrap resources one can obtain from live salvaging during a fight with the corrupted AI.

Drops include miscellaneous system upgrades, various armed and defence weapons (typically in the mid-30s in tech level), as well as a huge amount of avorion and ogonite scrap.

Notably the rail guns and plasma cannons are identical. Also dropped are a variety of point defense weapons with 25km range.

This boss has a large amount of huge shield and generator blocks and can yield tens of millions of avorion and ogonite if salvaged, with up to 50 million being obtainable if the player chooses to "live salvage" during the fight - that is, using salvaging beams on shield and power generator blocks while in battle. This is done in order to salvage the resource-rich blocks before they dissapear upon destruction of each segment.
